The problem of hunger is overwhelming, but you know we’re called to do something. We open our hearts to serve hot and nutritious meals and valuable human interaction for the unhoused and working poor in the city of Memphis. But it’s more than a meal. That’s why The Metamorphosis Project is committed to more than just providing food for people in need. Our staff and volunteers meet our guests and feed their spiritual needs through prayer and community as well.

Nutritious Meals
Adequate nutrition is necessary for health and functionality. Healthy eating can increase mental acuity, resistance to illness and disease, energy levels and immune system strength. The Metamorphosis Project works to provide adequate nutrition to the unhoused population in the city of Memphis.
Friendly Interaction
For many, the trusted Metamorphosis Project volunteer who serves a meal and a smile is sometimes the only person they may see or speak with the majority of the day. They are able to congregate at meal sites and receive valuable social interaction and prayer, if desired. We can all attest that a meal can be more than the food on the plate, but also the company of others at the table.

The Metamorphosis Project provides lunch for the homeless and working poor serving meals monthly. But it’s more than a meal. Our volunteers talk with our guests and feed their spiritual needs through prayer and community.

A Day of Love
The Metamorphosis Project partners with other organizations and volunteers to show love to the unhoused population in Memphis. Those in need are able to come to the event and choose outfits from gently used and some new clothing. We also provide a hot meal for all who come as well as good conversation and prayer, if desired.

Blessing Bags, are our version of care kits We include a variety of items for the unhoused, hungry, and those in need of basic necessities. We give these bags to those that need help.
